OSR (Hardware) consists of students learning to design and implement our mechanical systems, such as motors, chassis, arms, etc. These students design the parts that comprise each system, then cut the materials, machine these parts, and assemble the parts into the designed system. These duties also include testing and retooling designs if necessary.
During the competition season these students also work in parallel with the rest of the robotics team giving guidence and instructions to the younger and less experienced students to ensure the safe building of the robot, and in order to ensure that the robot is built able to perform its necessary tasks.
