OSR Software and Electronics
The software team works year-round to develop new technologies that will be applicable to current and future competition robots. Particularly, we are developing new technologies and techniques for low-power, integrated circuits in order to allow for highly computational systems, such as our Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Optical Mouse, etc.
With respect to electronics, our job is to design and test systems which allow our programmers to input more data at faster rates for nearly endless possibilities. This includes the creation of printed circuit boards and layout of wiring systems which are conducive to fast and easy repairs during competition as well as easy assembly off-site.
The Team
The Team 174 software team consists of Zach Northrup (Senior off to RIT), Dave Gay, and Mike Corsaro (off to RIT). The software team is mentored by Kenny Ballentine (off to RIT) and Mr. Nagy.
